It gives us great pleasure to announce that ISA members David and Graham Woods have been named as joint winners of the Dr Eppler Trophy for 2024.

The trophy is awarded by BARCS for outstanding achievement in advancing technology and development in model gliding. It has also been awarded in the past for outstanding contributions to model flying.

The 2024 ISA Christmas Lunch will take place on Wednesday 11th Dec at the Red Lion in Dagnall. Please see Calendar for details.

Calling all ISA members - the 2024 AGM will take place at 19.30 on Tuesday 24th November, via Zoom (link to be advised by email). Please do your utmost to participate.

We've just set up a new ISA group on Facebook which is already proving popular, with banter, news and photos from around the Beacon. Whether you're a member or occasional visitor or just interested, you're welcome to join us!

After 15 years, our old website has finally been retired. We hope you like the new one, with a news section and photo gallery.

The new site is built using WordPress and the Tiny Framework theme. It’s early days, and no doubt it'll be tweaked as we gain experience.
